These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship with CVsDatabase.com (hereinafter referred to as "us”, “we”, “our” or the "Business"). In these Terms and Conditions the terms “you” or “User” shall refer to any person using this Website, including “Jobseekers” and “Employers”, unless the context otherwise requires. The website www.CVsDatabase.com (hereinafter the “Website”, or “Platform”) is owned & operated by CVs Database.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the applicable law. If you enter into any transaction with the Business (whether via email, telephone conversation, in writing or in person or through any other means), these Terms and Conditions shall apply and shall govern each transaction. These Terms and Conditions and the Website are governed by the laws of UAE. Any dispute arising from, or related to, these Terms and Conditions or the Business shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE Courts.
Use of the site
By using this Website or registering an account on the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which shall take effect immediately on your first use of the Website (which includes registration). If you do not agree to be legally bound by these terms then you are not authorized to use the Website and should not do so.
By using the Website, you warrant that:
you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
you are at least 18 years old; and
The service contracted for between you and the Business refers to the activation of your account on the Website (hereinafter “Service”). We shall not be held responsible for your use of the Website and any of the facilities therein, and any support, maintenance or communication we provide to you shall not be deemed as Service.
Access to the Website is based on the type of account contracted for between you or your Business. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Service we provide on the Website without notice and for any reason. We will not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of the Website, or our entire Website, to Users who have registered with us. Please note that there will be no refund of any fee (nor will we have any other liability to you) for withdrawal, modification or unavailability of any Service or support.
If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures to access and use the Website, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. For security or other reasons, we may require you to change your password or other information which facilitates access to the Website.
When using the Website, you must comply with the provisions of our acceptable use policy which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Website. You must also ensure that the email address we hold for you is current, accurate and that you have full and consistent access to it. If you change your email address you must register your new email address promptly within your account section.
You may not permit any other person to use your password or login details or otherwise access your account on the Website and you are solely responsible for any acts or omissions of any person using the Website or your account on this basis. You may not use more than one account on the Website without our written permission.
We aim to update the Website regularly and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to the Website, or close it indefinitely.
How we work
The Website is intended to be used by people seeking employment ("Jobseekers") or businesses looking to recruit Jobseekers ("Employers") to carry out certain functions and tasks and to gain a corporate learning experience (“Job Opportunity”). We offer information, support and Services strictly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
We provide information to employers seeking to recruit Jobseekers which includes access to our curriculum vitae database (CVs Database). There is no charge for access to Jobseekers as a Jobseeker and all Website access will remain free for registered Jobseekers (unless a Service offered specifically states otherwise).
Jobseekers specifically acknowledge and agree to the following:
you will only submit your CV to the Website and will not contact any Employer directly or indirectly by any other means;
you will provide us with any information reasonably requested by us or an Employer in connection with your CV;
your engagement or employment by an Employer will be subject to such terms as may be agreed between you and the Employer. We shall not be party to any such terms, nor shall we held liable for any damage or detriment caused to either the Employer or the employee as a result of entering into any such agreement. Although we encourage Employers to put legal and written contracts in place with Jobseekers we accept no liability in relation to any such contract or any Employer's failure to enter into such a contract. Furthermore, we shall have no liability if an Employer, having made a verbal or written offer to you, then fails to employ or engage you in accordance with such offer;
you will not represent yourself as an employee or agent of us to any person, including an Employer, unless this is specifically agreed by us in writing;
if you have any questions about any Career Opportunity offer you receive from an Employer you should seek independent legal advice or you may speak with one of our consultants. However, any advice offered to by our consultant(s) must be deemed as merely guidance and not instructions which have to be followed;
and we and/or any Employer may request or make a background check that covers your academic qualifications, professional history, and/or references.
We provide support to Employers seeking Jobseekers ("Search CVs Database", or “Shortlisting”), including a Career Opportunity matching facility, access to our Jobseekers database, opportunity posting, Career Opportunity marketing and advertising services and our Business newsletters. As an Employer, you will/ may be charged a fee for the Search CVs Database access which we provide to you. All fees paid are non-refundable and the Service will be deemed rendered upon the first day of initiation.
Employers specifically acknowledge and agree to the following:
The price payable by the Employer for Search CV Database will be quoted on a per-package basis or via a onetime fee model. Our fees, Services and customer support may vary in the future and you will be notified by email of any material change which relates to Search CV Database provided to you. If you continue to use the Website after any such notification you will be deemed to have accepted such variation.
We may add new or ancillary facilities on our Website from time to time which may require the payment of fees - either to us or a nominated third party - on terms which will be provided to you at the time.
We do not accept liability as an Employer of any Jobseekers. The nature of any Career Opportunity/ working/ employment relationship will be governed and determined exclusively by any agreement between Jobseekers and Employers and is entirely separate from the work carried out by us. Any Employer who agrees to use the Website or our Services/ Employer Assistance warrants that we will not have any responsibility or liability in relation to the terms of their employment or contracting an arrangement with any Jobseekers. Employers acknowledge that the nature and frequency of any work performed by a Jobseeker on their behalf could result in the Jobseekers being classified as an employee of the Employer. If Jobseekers or Employers have any questions about their legal rights and duties, they should seek independent legal advice. To the extent that Employers receive any contact or personal information regarding any Jobseekers, such information must be used in compliance with applicable laws and for no other purpose whatsoever. We accept no liability in relation to the use or storage of personal data by any Employer.
Each active Employer account has a finite number of Credits allocated to their account.
Credits reduce on viewing of each Jobseeker’s uploaded CV.
The number of CV Credits allocated to each active Employer account is as per the package bought by the respective Employer.
Credits are automatically added to Employer accounts on the successful payment.
At its sole discretion, the Business may provide additional Credits to any Employer account upon receiving reasonable written request, presuming this request not be deemed for use in any purpose other than engaging a high volume of Jobseekers for legitimate Career Opportunities.
We have no involvement in the relationship between Jobseekers and Employers and hence we shall have no responsibility in relation to resolving any disputes between Jobseekers and/or Employers related to or arising out of their use of the Website.
Visa and Mastercard in AED will be accepted for payment.
Cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and Merchant policies and rules.
The customer will receive a confirmation of successful payment by email (to the email address that was provided by the customer during payment). The payment confirmation email will be delivered within 30 minutes of successful payment.
Customer support shall be delivered to you via electronic media and in accordance with the information contained on the Website from time to time.
Information and instructions
We provide Services only on the basis that you give us all proper and necessary instructions, information and authority to enable us to undertake lawfully and effectively deliver the Service ordered and you indemnify us accordingly.
We may, under our sole discretion, provide customer support to any Jobseekers or Employer in addition to the Services to the extent we deem reasonable and necessary. Customer support cannot be contracted for, or purchased, through any means by any person.
You warrant that that all information you provide to us about yourself or your organization is full, accurate and current. The Website contains full details of all information required from you in order to activate your account and provide the Services to you.
We reserve the right to collect feedback regarding your performance and to post samples of positive feedback on the Website, visible by any visitor of the Website, at our discretion. You may not take any actions that may undermine the integrity of the feedback system nor should you manipulate the feedback system by posting multiple entries at the same time.
Our services are provided solely to you and shall not be used or relied upon by any third party.
We will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), claims of death or personal injury, costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (and howsoever) caused, which arise out of or in connection with the Website/Services/customer support, inability to use the Website Services, or associated with access to any information obtained or messages received or transactions entered into or made possible through use of the Website or in any way connected with the Website.
We endeavor to communicate all relevant information about Jobseekers with regard to their qualifications and past experience to Employers. This information is based on details added to Jobseekers’ CVs on the Website. We accept no responsibility for errors, omissions, misleading or inaccurate information given to us which is then passed on to an Employer or a relevant third party. The Employer, shall determine themselves, and take all necessary steps to assess, the suitability, qualification and ability of the Jobseekers and accordingly make the final decision on recruitment.
In providing Search CVs Database and other Services through the Website we are acting as an information source and not as a recruitment agency or similar.
All information about Jobseekers and Employers which is available through the Website is prepared and posted by the Jobseekers or Employers concerned and we cannot verify its truth or accuracy.
We give you no warranties or representations in respect of the information available through the Website and accept no liability in relation to such information. We give you no warranty or assurance as to any other aspect of the Website and all implied warranties and conditions are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
It is your responsibility to verify any information you access through the Website and you use the Website at your own risk.
We give you no warranty or assurance that the Website, our Services or our means of delivering them are compatible with your software or computer configuration. We may change part or all of any Service at our discretion.
You acknowledge that we are not and cannot be held responsible for the conduct or behavior of individuals or organizations who use the Website – whether on the Website or outside of it. We have no control over the quality, safety or legality of any Career Opportunity entered into as a consequence of using this Website, the ability of any Jobseekers to provide work to the Employer's satisfaction, or the quality, quantity or nature of Career Opportunities likely to be offered on the Website.
Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using the Website, you accept that communication with us will be electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our Website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
All notices given by you to us must be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will give notice to you at the e-mail address you provide to us when placing an order, or in any of the ways specified in clause 7.a above. Notice will be deemed received and properly served immediately when posted on our Website or 24 hours after an email has been sent. In proving the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of an email, that such email was sent to the specified e-mail address of the addressee.
Intellectual property rights
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Website and in the material published on it, other than material which is contributed to the Website by its Users. Our rights in our material are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You must not use any part of the materials on our Website for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.
You may download and print off extracts of any page(s) from the Website for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organization to material posted on the Website. You may not otherwise copy, distribute, show in public or create any derivative work from the Website or any of the material which is found on the Website unless properly licensed to do so by (a) us and (b) where material contributed by one or more Users of the Website is concerned, by the User(s) in question. Our status as the authors of our material on the Website must always be acknowledged.
You agree that submission of any information, feedback, content, data or other materials ("Materials") is at your own risk, and that none of us, our affiliates, any Employers or Jobseekers has any obligations (including without limitation obligations of confidentiality) with respect to such Materials.
By submitting any Materials to the Website, you:
are representing that you are fully entitled to do so;
grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-terminable license to copy, modify, distribute, show in public and create derivative works from such Materials solely in the course of its processing and display it on and through the Website in accordance with these terms; and
and authorize us to adapt the relevant Material in the course of doing so, and so waive your moral rights to object to any derogatory treatment or to be identified as the author of the material in question.
If you are an Employer, if you create any tests, specifications, criteria lists or programs for use on the Website to evaluate or otherwise select Jobseekers they will be considered Materials for purposes of this Agreement and may be used and/or referenced by us or other Employers and Jobseekers pursuant to the license granted above.
You accept full liability for any direct/indirect breach of this Clause 8 made by you, whether actual or threatened.
Uploading material to the website
Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload Material to the Website, or to make contact with other users of the Website, you must comply with the content standards set out in our acceptable use policy. You warrant that any such contribution does comply with those standards, and you indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.
Any Material you upload to the Website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we have the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such material for any purpose. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to the Website constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any Materials posted by you or any other user of the Website.
We have the right to remove any Material or posting you make on the Website without any prior notice to you if, in our opinion, such Material does not comply with the content standards set out in our acceptable use policy.
Viruses, hacking and other offences
You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, the server on which the Website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Website. You must not attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence and will be legally liable for damages/ compensation and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Website will cease immediately.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any Website linked to it.

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

Each Jobseekers warrants to provide correct, honest and up-to-date information about themselves, especially with regard to work experience, education, skills, qualifications, and any other details requested by us or Employers.
Jobseekers acknowledge and accept that an actual or threatened breach of any term(s) of this Clause 15 may be penalized by implementing any one or more of the following:
Removal/deactivation of their account from our Website, and/or
Disqualifying their use of our Website indefinitely unless a written approval has been obtained by us allowing them to recreate their account.
We shall not be held liable for any loss or damage experienced by any person as a result of implementing the penalties.
We will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), claims of death or personal injury, costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (and howsoever) caused, including slander or personal offence which arise out of use or in connection with the Website’s communication or chat functionality.
We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity, content and Materials associated with the Website. We may investigate any reported violation of these terms or complaints and take any action that we deem appropriate including (but not limited to):
suspending or terminating your access to our services; and/or
removing or requiring you to remove, Material/information posted on the Website, if you or the Material appears to us, or to a complainant, to be in breach of any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
Any person whose access has been suspended or terminated must not re-register for, or re-access, any of our services without our prior consent. You are responsible for everything which is done on or through the Website while your account is logged on to the Website, or through your email address(es). In addition, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if you are abusive, discriminatory or threatening to any person through the Website or Service.
Your Employer account may be suspended or terminated during the term of this agreement if we come to the understanding that you: (i) misled us of your business practices and/or services, or (ii) purchased services that do not represent your precise business, or (iii) purchased services on behalf of any third party without prior declaration of your intention or the relationship between you and the third party.
You agree to indemnify us and our directors, officers, Jobseekers, agents and representatives against all liabilities, claims, damages and expenses that may arise from your use of the Website and any breach of these terms made by you, or any individual who uses your account, or through a machine on which you access the Website.
You may (subject to any additional terms agreed in relation to any Employer Assistance) at any time elect to stop using the Website provided that, in discontinuing any Website activities, you must use our standard functionality and must abide by all applicable policies. No fees or subscriptions will be refunded in the event of termination by you in accordance with this Clause. We may, in our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your use of the Website at any time without notice to you.
We will issue refunds of payments received in the following instances:
In the event of a duplicate payment, upon providing proof, the customer will be entitled to a refund of the duplicated charge (minus any applicable card transaction fees). This refund will be issued to the original mode of payment.
If a customer never logs in or accesses their Employer account upon paying for a package and provides written request of a refund within seven (7) working days. This refund will be issued to the original mode of payment. Upon successfully logging into their employer account, customers will forfeit their right to any refund in this instance.
Employer customers are able to cancel their account or Service at any point by requesting a cancellation form via firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancelled accounts or Employer Services will not be refunded.
You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these Terms and Conditions.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid by any court the invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions which shall remain in full force and effect.
A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right to enforce any of its provisions.
We have the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and you will be subject to the amended policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you order Services from us. We will notify you by email of any material change in these Terms and Conditions and, if you continue to use the Website and Service after any such notification, you will be deemed to have accepted such change.
These Terms and Conditions do not create an association, joint venture, partnership or franchise, employer/employee relationship between us and any Jobseekers or us and any Employer.
Law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and the Website are governed by UAE laws and any dispute arising from, or related to, these Terms and Conditions or the Website/Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts.
